S4 Mobile Laboratories LLC grew from a multi-disciplinary research group at the University of Akron. Today, the company’s technology is used to map chemicals underground in a wide range of applications from forensics to environmental science to archaeology.

Funding
In February 2020, S4 Mobile Labortories was awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant. In June 2020, S4 Mobile Laboratories was awarded an Ohio Third Frontier Technology Validation and Start-Up Fund (TVSF) grant.
We are currently designing and building three prototype Subterra Grey Model P mobile soil laboratories for field testing in early 2021. We are actively seeking pre-seed equity funding to supplement our non-dilutive grants. Our pitch deck and one-pager can be downloaded below. A full business plan and budget are available upon request.
